Born and raised in Eldoradopark, I've always wanted to perform and as a child I always took part in anything that involved performing. I did ballet, Spanish and modern dance. I entered a lot of singing competitions and performed in cabaret and theatre. Winning Popstars was a dream come true because this meant I have been afforded the opportunity to perform the way I wanted to and also to compose my own songs. I'm a very disciplined artist I take what I do very seriously also I treat every opportunity like it would be my last. I also find it very difficult to talk about myself or give unless its about JAMALI because I believe in leading by example, I love clothes and shoes because I enjoy dressing up,I enjoy going out with my girlfriends and spending time with my family I enjoy a very private life. I regard myself as a very guarded person however I'm friendly by nature. I drink a lot of coffee(workaholic alert!),my favourite car brand is Audi,I enjoy being a mom its definately the most rewarding job in the world. To me there is nothing like performing on stage and I thank God everyday for my life. I also love our fans very very much. That should do it!!!!

I am Mariechan (Mo) Chaldine Luiters born and raised in Stellenbosch. I grew up in a family and neighbourhood where music is not just something to bop your head to but it brings people together and somehow it drew people to our home. From 3yrs old there was no denying that I was destined to sing. I grew up listening to Whitney, Mariah, Boys2menthat truly influenced me. My folks love Motown and Jazz and regularly hosted braai's and karaoke's at home with friends and family and ironically that was the only time I let anyone hear me sing. I can say without a doubt that singing is not really my family's forte but I give them an "E" for Effort because they tried profusely. I started writing songs at the age of 11. I went on singing as lead vocalist in a local jazz band and later joined Pop group "Unique attraction". In 2003 I entered Popstars and became 1 of 3 girls to form the band Jamali. We were the runners up but none the less winners in our own right. We're pioneers and business woman who run Jamali Music successfully today. With all life's challenges I always land with my feet firmly on the ground. My mom and her selfless nature taught me to never mistreat people even if they mistreated you, she advised me to always (I quote) give a fool a chance". I'm a proud mother of a gorgeous and energetic 5yr old boy named Blayden and I believe that God truly blessed me. My son inspires and drives me to want to succeed and make a difference so that I can leave my legacy behind and take my gift to another level.

I hail from Eldorado Park, Johannesburg. Family is the most important thing in my life. My father is a pastor, so I spent most of my childhood at church and singing in the choir. My mom always tells the story about how I used to pull on her dress when I was 3 and tell her that I wanted to sing on stage in front of lots of people. Those were pretty fortuitous words and I am still living that dream. Being in Jamali has opened so many doors for me and I am eternally grateful. It took me from my desk job, on a whirlwind journey from music studio to live stage performances. I am best known for my ability to hit the high notes, and as a result I have been very lucky to collaborate with many other musicians as well. Jesus has blessed me with so many special opportunities that I will cherish always. To all the Jamali fans out there, you are my biggest inspiration. Keep shinning.
